He eats a special milk mix.He isn't our baby-he's in the care of a friend.They can usually be released when grown (about 7 months) and fend for themselves but they will allways be tame and therefore more vulnerable. Ive raised wombats and sugar glider babies,its a fantastic experiance,they do bond with you. When we have more space we will probably do it again,there are allways plenty of orphans that need someone.
