First day of spring for us and Ive had a surge of energy.Today I finished some birdbaths and pots and dyed two scarves .The scarves are about 10ft long and knitted from a 50-50 mix ,merino and mohair.Theyve turned out really well,light and soft and warm.

I heart the birdbaths! Are they hypertufa? Sometime in the future, when I've beaten the weeds into submission at last and have nothing else pressing to do, I'm going to get into hypertufa in a deep and serious way. I'm already collecting shiny bits of things to imbed in them.
The birdbaths are just a cement mix ,with oxide,I find they hold water better.The curved shape makes them really strong,so you can make them thinner(and lighter) than other shapes.I do all sorts of colours and sizes,fill them up with plants and sell them.Its good messy fun!
I want to start doing some mosaic sculpture for the garden ,so I am collecting shiny things as well.Toying with the idea of portraits of the dogs.Hmmmmmmmmm shiny things.
