It all survives under that snow. Brilliant. I love the idea of big contrasts in weather, but then of course, I don't have to tunnel my way out of it for half the year.
We put it in the ground in the fall. It's one of the first things up once the snow goes (after the daffys of course). Very heartening. Mr. Sorrow made pesto of the scapes the other day -- wonderful stuff!
I love this time of year. We do all our shopping at the farmer's market. It's all salads and berries and goat cheese and new potatoes.

So, no problems getting the garlic started then?
