If it were my ancestors, I might wish someone hadn't written across some of the faces with red grease pencil. Though it's better than what my grandfather did: most of his photos simply have "family group" scrawled on the back. Aunt Lucy looks like a fella in a British Invasion band. The cocky lady to the far right looks a lot like one of my nieces. The washbasin and mop against the wall make running water seem a blessed thing.
