I just managed to add a button for "A Year In Bread"3 bakers-12 months-36 recipes. Its an offshoot of Farmgirl Fare(my first stop on the internets every morning)and it looks like fun for those of us who love bread. The loaves pictured are my last batch of white sourdough with semolina.
Mmmm, bread. I used to bake in my hippie days but gave it up because it took so much time. All that kneading and proofing and poking, and my bread still came out somewhat... cakey. I discovered artisanal bakeries and realized that I could never match their gorgeously crusty and eleastic product, so I stopped baking. Then I found a great recipe -- http://tinyurl.com/22cj5g -- that produces lovely artisanal bread and takes a tiny fraction of the time I used to spend! Now I make all of our bread because it's so easy. And cheap.
