What a wonderful sultananate! I'd kill to have a view like that. The main reason I left California was that I realized I'd never be able to afford one like it there, even from a shack. Is the white photo real cracks, or a painting? And WHAT is with that beer label? It's like Aunt Jemima table syrup, only worse. I hope at least the beer's good?
I think the beer label is 1940s or 50s-I don't think that they would get away with that anymore-the walls in the old shack are plastered with alchohol labels of every kind.We have been extrodinarily lucky to stay at this shack-the shack culture is on its way out in Tas-not many people can afford to keep a holiday home when it has become worth a fortune. The white photo is paint on the ceiling, ive been trying for years to get effects like that on my arty farty paintings.
Someone I once knew got that cracked paint effect on her walls by covering a high-gloss slippery paint with a matte one. I think the slippery one was oil-based and the matte was latex. But I'm sure you've tried that.
